Industrial Promotion Services (West Africa] est une Institution de promotion industrielle au service du développement, créée en 1965 par le Fonds Aga Khan pour le Développement Économique (AKFED,)son actionnaire majoritaire.

IPS (WA) vise à encourager et à développer l’entreprise privée, afin de créer de la valeur destinée à
être réinvestie dans ses pays d’implantation, après une juste rémunération des actionnaires, soit
dans l’amélioration des outils existants, soit dans des projets porteurs de développement, ayant un impact sur l’amélioration du niveau de vie des populations, notamment depuis ces dix dernières, dans des projets infrastructures.

Cette institution regroupe aujourd’hui en Côte d’Ivoire, au Burkina Faso, au Mali et au Sénégal des activités dans trois grands secteurs et emploie environ 4 400 personnes,

Agro-industry : IVORY COTTON, FASO COTON, SN SOSUCO and CASA
Infrastructures : AZITO ENERGIE, EDM, AIR BURKINA

Created in 1965, FILTISAC, the first IPS (WA) project is a manufacturing unit for bags made from natural
fibers, jute , intended for cocoa, coffee and cashew packaging.

In 1988, FILTISAC diversified its activities by creating a manufacturing unit for synthetic fiber packaging.

During the nineties, it created subsidiaries in UEMOA (COFISAC in Senegal,
FASOPLAST in Burkina Faso and EMBALMALI in Mali.
In 2009, FILTISAC absorbed its specialized subsidiary SISEP in the production of rigid plastic packaging (preforms, bottles, flasks, jerrycans, cans, etc.).
In 2013, the company Groupe Fibako Ivoirembal, specialized in the manufacture of rope and twine located in Bouaké was absorbed by FILTISAC.
